About The National Day of Repentance
A Call to Repentance, Remembrance and Re-Engagement
On Sunday, May 25, 2025, we are inviting all Christian believers to join in a time of prayer for repentance on behalf of ourselves and/or our nation. We believe that through the power of prayer, God will help us change and will help our nation heal from racial division and injustice.
This date was selected in honor of the 5-year anniversary of the murder of Mr. George Floyd. In response to that tragic moment in 2020, an outpouring of empathy and a seeking of justice emerged. But five years later, things haven’t changed much.
Black pain is still unanswered and in many ways, is exacerbated by what often appears like apathy by many Christians who spoke up in the summer of 2020, but have since fallen silent.
We ask our Christian siblings across the nation to join us in prayers of repentance, moments of remembrance and conversations of re-engagement for racial conciliation and justice.
We believe faith communities can appeal to God and work in faith to lead the way for the sake of the Gospel and for the sake of our nation's future. Will you join us?
